What to Expect From Our Tours

When creating our Sonoma Wine Valley Tours, we kept a few things in mind. We want our guests to enjoy a comfortable ride with friendly expert guides, taste the area’s premium wines, sit down to a delicious lunch from a local restaurant, and learn about the wineries and the region’s history.

Stories From a Local Historian

Aboard the trolley, you’ll hear narration from your tour guide as we cruise through the historic Sonoma Plaza. Local historian and actor George Webber provided much of the material and stories that we share on this tour. We hope you enjoy the upbeat and whimsical style as we travel through California’s early history. Along the way, we’ll show you many historic landmarks, including the Sonoma and Swiss Hotels; General Vallejo’s soldier barracks, home, and state park; Mission San Francisco Solano (Sonoma Mission); the Blue Wing Inn; the Bear Flag Monument; the Sonoma Development Center, and the quaint town of Glen Ellen (where Jack London spent his final years).
