Arts and Culture in Sonoma Valley Wine Country
The Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley is a great resource for discovering the best and brightest wineries to include on your Sonoma group wine tasting tour. But we chose Sonoma County for more than just amazing wine. The Valley has something to offer everyone, from world-class dining to historic architecture, performances by famous musicians and theater companies, and even sculpture and art collections. Let us help you discover Sonoma wine country with some of our favorite local destinations for arts and culture.
Transcendence Theatre Company

Named “Theater of the Year” twice by Broadway World San Francisco, Transcendence delivers inspiring performances in equally inspired venues. You can also catch the company performing in other amazing Sonoma County locations—check out their calendar for details. Let us take care of your group’s wine tasting tour during the day, then join Transcendence for a night they’ll never forget!
LaHaye Art Center
148 East Napa Street
Sonoma, CA 95476
(707) 939-7019
We love giving our Sonoma group tasting tours a glimpse into the winemaking process, but we think it’s just as exciting to see work-in-progress on an easel! Located in an historic foundry just off the Sonoma Plaza, the LaHaye Art Center gives you a chance to see just that. It features five working artists and their latest projects, like Brigitte McReynolds’ energetic canvases, or Stacia Brady’s bold and vivid works. Other featured artists include sculptor Jim Callahan and ceramicist Beverly Prevost. The attached Alley Gallery works as a “pop-up gallery” featuring one artist at a time. You can check the site to see who’s showing before you go!
Sonoma Valley Museum of Art
551 Broadway
Sonoma, CA 95476
(707) 939-7862
Located just off the Plaza in Sonoma, the SVMA offers visitors modern and contemporary art every week from Wednesday to Sunday. Take a break from sipping to catch a docent-led walking tour or explore at your own pace. See recent exhibitions like Albert Paley’s metal sculpture (the artist currently has larger installations around town as well), or future exhibits like “Forge and Stone,” which features a number of contemporary female sculptors’ work. Check out their calendar before your visit to find out about upcoming events and workshops!
