B.R. Cohn Wine and Olive Oil – The Perfect Pair
B.R Cohn is a “favorite” of both the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley staff and our Sonoma Valley wine tasting guests! Located in Glen Ellen, the heart of Sonoma Valley, this gorgeous estate winery produces a full line of ultra-premium wines, extra virgin olive oils, and a variety of vinegar. They also sell an assortment of decadent food products.
Founded by Bruce Cohn in 1984, this winery has been on our radar for a long time! B.R. Cohn wines are produced from their 55-acre Olive Hill Estate Vineyards. The vineyards are home to Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec grapes.
In addition to producing fine wines, this winery is also known for producing high-quality California olive oil. Olive Hill Estate is the 160-year-old olive grove that contains over 450 Picholine olive trees. Dating back to the mid-1800s, these trees produce the olives used to make the Olive Hill Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil available only at B.R. Cohn. As the first estate olive oil produced in California in over a century, B.R. Cohn is the pioneer in the California olive oil industry boom.
