We love recommending our favorite wineries to customers. We’ve only just begun telling you about them all! We’ve already highlighted Buena Vista Winery and Benziger Family Winery in our previous blogs. As you’ve probably gathered, at Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley, we’re passionate about wine and fun. That’s why we also love Sebastiani Vineyards. Friday nights will never be the same after you visit this winery. They feature an annual Friday Night Music Series straight from their tasting room. Enjoy a family-friendly evening of live music and wine-by-the-glass or bottle! Picnic dinners and snacks are welcome every Friday. As an added bonus, they bring in food trucks on the last Friday of each month. These trucks serve fabulous local gourmet food, appetizers, and desserts.
Fridays aren’t the only great day to visit this winery. Every day is a good day at Sebastiani. Daily wine tastings, tours, and wine pairings (with chocolate or cheese!) are just some of the highlights. Visitors will love wine tasting and learning about Sonoma County wine in their casual, Tuscan-style tasting room. The tasting room and grounds are open daily from 10am-5pm to visitors of all ages. Tasting is $15/person. You must be 21 to taste!
Beyond the traditional tasting, they also offer a historical walking tours and more extensive wine vineyard tours. These tours are led by a wine educator and full of fun and interesting vineyard and wine making information. The wine vineyard tour includes wine tasting and a discussion of history and viticulture throughout the tour. If you love pairing your wine with delicious foods, Sebastiani Vineyards won’t let you down. They offer a “Chocolate Indulgence” pairing that includes a sampling of their fine wines paired with hand-picked artisanal chocolates. If cheeses are more your style, you can partake in their wine and cheese pairing option. This tasting includes Sebastiani wines paired with local artisan cheeses. Whatever your tasting pleasure, they have something for everyone! These tastings are by appointment only.
